It is not confirmed if 3D Home Architect Deluxe is compatible with windows 10. However, some users have reported that the software works on the new Windows version.
Can my 3D Home Architect Deluxe work with Windows 7 or 10? My old Vista laptop shorted out, so need to go a new one. Don't want to lose the use of this program. Thank you.

The software is designed to work on the following versions of Windows: Windows 95, Windows 98. I haven't seen anything related to Windows 7/10, which means the software will have compatibility issues. Secondly, if you want to run it, install Virtualbox and then use the built-in wizard to create a virtual machine with Windows XP. This way you will have the software running normally, even if you main OS is Windows 7 or 10.
I have been using 3D Home Architect 4.0 for several years on my Windows Vista computer. All of a sudden, the toolbar I use disappeared (the one with the icon buttons). I have tried to hide and unhide the toolbar, but nothing happens. How can I get it back?

According to the information released on the Internet, this problem appears at numerous Windows Vista users. A solution to resolve this issue is to update your video card. If the result is still negative, then a compatibility problem can make this application stop working properly. 3D Home Architect Deluxe was not developed especially for Windows Vista. However, this application works with this operating system, but sometimes it can make you problems. I recommend you reinstall 3D Home Architect Deluxe.
I need to change from Imperial to Metric measurements in 3D Home Architect Deluxe, does anyone know how?

You need to access the built-in manual of the application to be able to change from Imperial to Metric. The software supports this feature, but there is nowhere specified about the correct procedure. Go to Help > Search and type measurements then you should be able to change it according to your needs. Unfortunately, this it the only way since no official information is provided for this software.
I have 3D Home Architect deluxe 3. Will it run in Windows 7? If not is there a way to get it to run?

The application was released for Windows 98 / 2000 / Me operating systems. Getting it to work under Windows 7 could be something not so easy to achieve because as you can see the application doesn't even have support for Windows XP so you can't run it in Windows 7 under Windows XP emulation mode. You either use it with the mentioned operating systems or acquire a different software which works in Windows 7.
The software saves its own type of proprietary file format and this basically means that the exported format is a CAD file. If you want to convert your project to a CAD file, just use the export function and a list with supported file formats will be available.
This application is not available anymore, however, Broderbund developer offers you alternative software for 3D Home Architect. One of them is Punch Home Design Essentials. It offers you powerful features to finish your job.
There are no versions of this application that are compatible with Windows 7, but there is a way to make it work on a virtual machine. Please download Windows XP Mode and install it. Once the operation is finished, you can run the application in XP Mode even if you're using Windows 7. This is the smartest and most convenient way to make a XP compatible application run in Windows 7.
